CityUMUN Forum (24/5/2013)
Nuke crisis is not something new: the DPRK had long been suspected and condemned for launching a nuclear programme. Its recent nuclear tests in the past few years greatly aroused global awareness, since their actions might threaten global security, and not only to its southern counterpart.
What are their intentions? How would the international community respond to their actions? Will there be a WWIII?
The MUN Forum on the 24th of May would go deep into this issue, facilitating open-ended discussions of related ideas and further understanding of the facts.
Article: Q&A: North Korea Nuclear Programme, BBC, 2 April 2013

Discussion questions:
1) In your opinion, what made the DPRK conduct the nuclear tests even when they are being penalized and condemned for possessing nuclear weapons?
2) Assume that you are a director of an NGO, which aims at giving advice to the United Nations on peacekeeping matters. Suggest possible ways to make the DPRK give up the possession of nuclear weapons, while balancing the interest of the North Korean government and its people.
